Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 August 2026

Welcome to cancerhopehub (the "Website", "we", "us", "our"). cancerhopehub is a registered charity that provides an online platform where individuals can create and share fundraising campaigns to help people affected by cancer. By accessing or using our Website, or by donating to or creating a campaign, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Website.

## 1. About Our Service

cancerhopehub is a fundraising platform. We provide the technology that allows organisers to create campaigns and allows donors to contribute to those campaigns. We are not a bank, a payment processor, or a financial advisor. We do not hold, manage, or control donated funds ourselves. All payments are processed securely by our third-party payment processor, PayPal. When you donate, your payment is handled by PayPal under their own terms and privacy policy.

We provide the platform, but we do not guarantee that any campaign will reach its goal, and we do not independently verify every claim made in every campaign. Donors contribute at their own discretion.

## 2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a campaign, donate, or otherwise use the Website. By using the Website, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that all information you provide is true, accurate, and complete. A person under 18 may be the beneficiary of a campaign, but the campaign must be created and managed by an adult.

## 3. Donations

When you make a donation through cancerhopehub, you do so voluntarily. Your donation is processed by PayPal, and you agree to PayPal's terms in addition to ours. You are responsible for making sure your payment details are correct and that you are authorised to use the payment method.

Donations are generally final. Because funds are passed on to help the people the campaign supports, we are usually unable to offer refunds once a donation is made. If you believe a donation was made in error, or if you have concerns about fraud or misuse, please contact us at support@cancerhopehub.com as soon as possible and we will review the matter. We may, at our discretion and where possible, help resolve genuine issues.

You understand that PayPal may charge processing fees on donations, and that the amount received by a campaign may be slightly less than the amount you donated after these fees.

## 4. Creating a Campaign (Organisers)

If you create a campaign, you are the "Organiser". As an Organiser, you agree that:

You will describe honestly and accurately what the funds are for and who will benefit from them. All information, images, and updates you post must be true and not misleading.

You will use the funds raised only for the purpose described in your campaign, and you will pass the funds to the intended beneficiary if you are raising money on someone else's behalf.

You have permission from the beneficiary (or, where the beneficiary is a minor or unable to give consent, from their parent, guardian, or legal representative) to raise funds on their behalf and to share any personal information or images you post about them.

You will keep your contact and payment details accurate and up to date, and you will cooperate with any reasonable request from us to verify your identity or how funds are being used.

You are responsible for complying with any laws that apply to your fundraising, including any tax obligations.

We reserve the right to review, pause, or remove any campaign, and to withhold or refund donations, if we believe a campaign breaks these Terms, is misleading, or may harm donors, beneficiaries, or the reputation of cancerhopehub.

## 5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use cancerhopehub to:

Raise funds through false, misleading, fraudulent, or impossible claims;

Post content that is offensive, hateful, threatening, obscene, or that harasses or discriminates against any person or group;

Break any law or regulation, or fund any illegal activity;

Promote violence, terrorism, weapons, drugs, gambling, or any activity that is illegal or harmful;

Infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights;

Post another person's private information without their permission;

Attempt to bypass our payment process, interfere with the Website's operation, upload viruses or harmful code, or use bots or automated tools to collect data or create fake activity;

Impersonate another person or organisation, or misrepresent your connection to a person, cause, or charity.

We may remove any content and suspend or terminate any account or campaign that breaks these rules, and we may report serious matters to the authorities.

## 6. Content You Post

You keep ownership of the text, images, and other content you post ("Your Content"). By posting it, you give cancerhopehub permission to display, store, and share it on and through the Website, and to use it to promote the Website and the campaigns on it. You confirm that you have the right to post Your Content and that it does not break anyone else's rights. You are responsible for Your Content, and we are not responsible for content posted by users.

We may, but are not required to, review or remove content that we believe breaks these Terms.

## 7. Payments and PayPal

All donations are processed by PayPal. cancerhopehub never sees or stores your full card or bank details — these are handled directly and securely by PayPal. Your use of PayPal is subject to PayPal's own terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of PayPal, but we will help where we reasonably can if a payment problem arises.

## 8. No Professional Advice

Any information on cancerhopehub, including information shared within campaigns, is for general purposes only and is not medical, legal, financial, or tax advice. cancerhopehub does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified doctor or other professional for medical or health questions, and a qualified adviser for legal, financial, or tax questions.

## 9. Disclaimers

The Website is provided "as is" and "as available". While we work hard to keep it running well and securely, we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not guarantee the accuracy of information posted by users, and we do not endorse any particular campaign, organiser, or cause.

## 10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, cancerhopehub and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss of funds, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Website, from any campaign, from any donation, or from the acts of any user or third party (including PayPal). Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

## 11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or close any account or campaign, and remove any content, if we believe there has been fraud, illegal activity, or a serious breach of these Terms, or where we are required to do so by law. Where appropriate, we may also issue refunds to donors.

## 12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If you continue to use the Website after changes are posted, you accept the updated Terms.

## 13. Contact Us

If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at support@cancerhopehub.com and we will be glad to help.
